Ministry Teams

1 Peter 4 : 10 - 11

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

  • Members: Pastor John Heo, Joel Lee, Kevin Bang

    The Servant Team are leaders who interact with all ministry teams and the church as a whole (all ministries at SKECA). They are responsible for the decisions made on behalf of the English Ministry.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Kevin Bang

    The Admin Team serves behind the scenes to ensure all ministry communications and operations run smoothly and efficiently. This entails directory and social media management, event scheduling, announcements, and communications. They also help make the ministry possible with structure and organization.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Sarah Youn

    The E&M team exists to make Jesus known both locally and globally through community outreach and mission partnerships, and sponsorship. They equip and mobilize the church to live out the Great Commission by creating an evangelical and missional ministry opportunities.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Kaitlyn Yeo

    The Fellowship Team plans events for the community to grow in friendship and unity. They host gatherings, meals, and events that foster joy, connection, and belonging.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Elder Bummo Chung

    With stewardship and transparency, the Finance Team manages the church’s resources to support ministry needs and future growth. They handle budgeting, reimbursements, and financial planning with accountability.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Kevin Bang

    The Media and Tech Team supports worship and communication through sound, visuals, and livestream production. Their creative and technical gifts help bring excellence to every Sunday service and special event.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Grace Jang

    The Newcomer Team welcomes, follows up, and connects first-time visitors to the life of the church. They help every new face feel seen, known, and encouraged to take the next step in being integrative with the community.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Joel Lee

    The Vine 155 leads the congregation in Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship. Through music and prayer, they create space for people to encounter God with authenticity and reverence.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Pastor John Heo

    Small Groups are the heartbeat of our church community, where discipleship, prayer, and spiritual growth happen in the bonds of the church. Our Small Group leaders faithfully guide their members with care and vision, also relaying important information about the church.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Jake Billings

    Stewardship Team fosters ownership by treating what has been entrusted to EM (the facility, inventory, etc) with care and responsibility requires planning

    • To use the gifts God has given us to serve others as stewards of God’s grace.

    • This team is about using our unique gifts as a team to encourage others in the church for service within the church.

    • The “Hands” part of this team depicts how we aim to go hand-in-hand with non team members to serve God and our community, empowering them to love and good works (Heb. 10:24)

    • “Feet” embodies the immediacy with which the two good tenants left to serve the good master. It’s the actual doing of service.

  • Ministry Team Leader: Paul Chong

    With warm smiles and open hearts, the Welcoming Team greets and serves everyone who walks through our doors. Their presence sets the tone for a loving and meaningful Sunday experience by setting up welcoming spaces and seats for old and newcomers.
